The First Austrian Workers' Stamp Collectors' Club is, with its 23 sections, the largest collectors' club in Austria.

At the extraordinary general assembly on 23 September 2026, a new board was elected. In 2027, the ABSV will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

ÖVEBRIA St. Pölten

Our friend Gerhard Winter, second from the right in the group photo and secretary of the ABSV, has a sales stand at the ÖVEBRIA in St. Pölten. ABSV members have the opportunity to meet Gerhard and do some serious shopping :-)

BSV Favoriten in new premises

Our partner stamp club BSV Favoriten is moving to its new premises exactly one month late, on Sunday, 1 November 2026, at Zur Spinnerin Nr. 37 on the mezzanine floor. The restaurant is shining in new splendour and a terrace is now also available. We wish the club every success in its new home.

ABSV office fully operational

Telekom Austria has activated the telephone system and WiFi, and a multifunction device for printing, scanning and copying has been installed.

Attention: key search

The handover of keys was also chaotic – several dozen were handed to us in a bag. Currently only two key sets exist for the Koppstraße and Pfenninggeldgasse entrances. The key for the Koppstraße side entrance is still missing.

We ask you to let us know by email or phone (see Contact) if you still have any ABSV keys!

Should anyone be found on the premises without authorisation, a trespass complaint will be filed with the police regardless of who it is.

We now use LibreOffice

Since the terms for Microsoft Office are very unclear, confusing and still expensive, we have followed the example of large institutions such as the Austrian Armed Forces and decided to use the free software. You can now exchange files with us in either Microsoft or LibreOffice format.

Account activation

Full operational capability: today, 13 October 2026, the SPARDA accounts of the ABSV were activated at BAWAG. The chairman and treasurer are only authorised to sign jointly. Transfers can now be made again.

ABSV Headquarters

The office at Koppstraße 100 is open every Tuesday from 1 to 5 pm.
